Ruchi Gamta Poddar is a Math Lecturer at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID), Rochester Institute of Technology, with over eight years of experience teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in U.S. high schools and colleges. She teaches mathematics in American Sign Language (ASL) and has previously taught Physics, Forensic Science, and Environmental Science at the high school level.

As a former Gandhi Fellow, Ruchi worked closely with Manish Mishra, the founder of Nishchhal Preschool, and deeply values his commitment to building inclusive, nurturing learning environments.
